About TRIZ
TRIZ is regarded today as the most comprehensive, systematically adjusted invention knowledge and creative thinking methodology. According to TRIZ, problem solving can be approached in a systematic and structured way, rather than relying on “Trial and Error” or the experience of individuals.
Modern TRIZ is a large body of knowledge, which is a combination of a theory of inventive problem solving from all areas and systems evolution, analytical tools and methods for problem solving and analysis, collections of patterns of solutions.
BAKU – THE HOME TOWN OF TRIZ

Genrich Altshuller, the Father of TRIZ, lived in Baku for many years (from 1931 to 1990).

He studied in Azerbaijan Industrial Institute (now Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University) in Baku.

He started to develop TRIZ in Baku.

The first TRIZ institute - The Azerbaijan Public Institute for Inventive Creation was founded by him in Baku.

The first TRIZ seminar was organized by G.Altshuller in Baku.
Genrich Altshuller dedicated nearly 50 years of his life to creation and improvement of TRIZ.
Altshuller generated and developed TRIZ in Baku. Then theory re-emerged and migrated to the West. Today many of the Fortune 500 companies successfully use TRIZ methodology.

ISAK BUKHMAN
TRIZ Master, President of Altshuller Institute for TRIZ Studies,
President and Consultant of TRIZ Solutions, LLC
Isak Bukhman has been active in delivering TRIZ training workshops and guiding the development of more than 100 innovation projects for more than 40 leading global Corporations, Institutes, and Universities.
Mr. Bukhman is also honorary director of Chinese National Engineering Research Center for Technological Innovation Methods and Tools, senior consultant of Chongqing Innovation Method Society, honorary member of Leibniz Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies (LIFIS).
Isak Bukhman’s work has also included the delivery of numerous basic and advanced training seminars (some together with Genrich Altshuller), education and training of thousands of managers, engineers and researchers in TRIZ/Value Methodology, and – closest to his heart – seven years of child and adolescent creativity (TRIZ) education in his native Latvia. It was a long way from the team of 12 years old students to a specialized TRIZ K11 elementary-middle-high school of Lomonosov name in Riga.
MIKHAIL RUBIN
TRIZ Master, Co-founder of TRIZ Developers Summit
Was born in Baku. In 1977, M.Rubin graduated from the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry with a bachelor degree in Automated Control Systems. From 1973 to 1975, he studied with Genrich Altshuller at the Azerbaijan Public Institute of Inventive Creativity.
In 1998, he received from G.Altshuller Diploma "TRIZ Master" (№ 44). Co-author with G.Altshuller in studies on the prediction of the evolution of socio-technical systems.
Held over 100 TRIZ trainings and seminars. Author of over 100 publications on TRIZ and 12 patents for inventions. Author of the theory of "Evolutionary Systems Science", on the basis of TRIZ, the author of the manual “Basics of TRIZ. The use of TRIZ in software and information systems”.
In 1997-2005, M.Rubin was director of the International Association of TRIZ (MATRIZ), from 2003 to 2005, President of MATRIZ. In 2012-2018, he was the head of the R&D company, Healbe (bracelet to monitor the state of human health).
Currently, M.Rubin is the head of the group of projects of the Directorate of TRIZ in RUSAL Management (Moscow), co-founder of the international public organization “TRIZ Developers Summit”.
Dr. Ali B. Kutvan
Professor of Management Science
Lecturer, Researcher, Consultant, Writer, Strategist
Kutvan was born in Ankara, he holds a Ph.D degree in management science. Graduated from Hacettepe University, (BA), İstanbul Technical University, (M.Sc), Marmara University, (Ph.D), Berlizt Academy, (London/UK). Worked as a lecturer in Boğaziçi and Marmara Universities and also worked in Apple Computer in charge of Apple Global Education Project and Apple University Consorsium.
Founder of Interactive Publishers Association as well as some innovative companies and enterprises. Took part in multinational companies and international NGO’s as Non-Executive Adviser/Director in their Supervisory Board and Board of Directors.
Owner of some achievements and awards such as “First Prize of Science and Technology” by Junior Chamber International, 1996, “Community Services”, by Rotary International, “Finalist of Major Awards of Informatics”, İş Bankası A.Ş, 1996
Former faculty member of Nişantaşı University (Turkey) and Visiting Professor in The State Academy of Public Administration (Azerbaijan) and President of Kutvan Project Group (Research, Planning and Consultancy). Editorial Board Member of Journal of Business and Economics Review, Academic Star Publishing Company, New York.
Ruhi Kaykayoğlu
Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Ruhi Kaykayoğlu is a Company Owner known as Kaykayoğlu Innovation Group (KiG) in Istanbul, Turkey with an experience in the framework of national and international creative and innovative projects. KiG is known and recognized with customer focused and centric business solution provider. KiG has deep and detailed critical knowledge of Turkish and Global Universities, High Schools, Vocational Schools, company culture, organizations, human resource management.
Consultancy experience for more than 38 years, in all over the Turkey and near region; in business planning, creativity, innovations, problem solution techniques
(FMEA, 6 sigma etc. ), Research and Development, Technology Management, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Family-run business.
Since 2005 he has been introducing TRIZ methodology to Turkish industry. He is running TRIZ training activities from 2 days tor 5 days. Particularly TRIZ consulting to companies for quick and agile R&D activities.
He has currently developed the concept F1-TRIZ so that Turkish companies can speed up their R&D activities and problem solving skills.
VALERI SOUCHKOV
TRIZ Master, Managing Director of ICG Training & Consulting
Valeri Souchkov started his career in 1988 as a co-founder of Invention Machine Labs, a company which developed the first ever software based on TRIZ. In 2000, he co-founded the European TRIZ Association (ETRIA).
Since 2003, Valeri Souchkov heads ICG Training & Consulting in the Netherlands, a company with 400 customer organizations worldwide where he is involved in further development of TRIZ as well as to training and consulting of customers.
He also teaches TRIZ and Systematic Innovation at the University of Twente and TIAS Business School. In 2015-2017, He was Vice President of the International TRIZ Association (MATRIZ).
Valeri Souchkov is author and co-author of 3 books and over 100 journal and conference papers as well as editor of proceedings of international TRIZ conferences.
He holds M.Sc. degree in computer science and engineering and was awarded the TRIZ Master degree for his significant contribution to the development of TRIZ by MATRIZ.
VICTOR FEY
TRIZ Master, President of the TRIZ Group LLC
A close student and associate of Genrich Altshuller, the founder of TRIZ, he has more than three decades of consulting experience serving the Fortune Global 500.
Victor Fey’s work has ranged the gamut from teaching and consulting to facilitating and leading cross- functional teams in delivering critical breakthrough product and technology solutions. Only at Hyundai, his consulting effort resulted in obtaining over 100 patents with an estimated ROI of $100 million.
In 1997-2014, he was an Adjunct Professor at Wayne State University, where he taught the first university course in TRIZ in the West. He has lectured on the subject at MIT, Chalmers University, Technion, and others.
He chairs the Certification Board of the Altshuller Institute. His latest book, Innovation on Demand, was released by Cambridge University Press (translated to Korean; Chinese translation is scheduled for 2019).
VLADIMIR PETROV
TRIZ Master, VP R&D Innovation Technology
Mr. Petrov holds two Master's degrees (Automatic Systems Control, and Management of Research and Development).
Having practiced TRIZ since 1972, Mr. Petrov assisted in organizing TRIZ schools in many cities and republics of the former Soviet Union, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Vietnam, Germany and the USA. He personally taught many courses in the former USSR, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria and Israel.
Mr. Petrov conducted joint seminars with the founder of TRIZ, the late Genrich Altshuller, serving as a second teacher. Several thousand students have graduated Mr. Petrov's courses.
Mr. Petrov solved a large number of inventive problems and conducted system development forecasts for major companies in the USA, Germany, Israel, the former USSR, Czechoslovakia and Bulgaria. Among these companies were Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corp., Boeing, Johnson & Johnson, Xerox Corp., BOSCH, DaimlerChryser Aerospace (DASA), Miele, Roche, MASTERFOODS, Karat Digital Press Israel, Applied MaterialsIsrael, Samsung Israel, Samsung Display Korea and other.
Mr. Petrov has authored 8 monographs, textbooks and over 300 published works on TRIZ and 48 patents.
TITO KISHAN VEMURI

Mr. Tito Kishan Vemuri is a global innovation and operational excellence coach with proven credentials. He had the unique distinction of leading transformation in large organizations (~2000 employees) towards technical innovation and operational excellence with significant impact.
As the founder chairman of ATTI, a member of MATRIZ from India, working on a mission to groom 5000 inventors by 2020. Had successfully organized Bharat TRIZutsav India’s, annual TRIZ conference from 2016-18.
As founder CEO of Proinn Consultancy, along with ATTI organized India’s 1st batch of certified MATRIZ level 3 Professionals. Since 2015, he conducted 30+ MATRIZ certification workshops with significant IP generation and Millions of product cost reduction. He is a member of CII National committee for Technology and a member of SAE Management committee, Bangalore Section.
KAREN GADD
TRIZ Specialist, Director of Oxford Creativity
Over the last 20 years, Karen’s Oxford TRIZ team has helped thousands of engineers and scientists successfully and rapidly to solve their most difficult problems by adding TRIZ to their experience, knowledge and other toolkits.
Karen's aim has been to show how accessible, simple, fast and effective TRIZ is for everyone through Oxford TRIZ a pragmatic version of TRIZ honed to deliver fast problem-solving. This was developed by working with blue chip companies including Rolls-Royce, Sanofi Aventis, and BAE Systems to enable teams to hit the ground running with TRIZ and solve even their most challenging problems in a few days.
In the last century, Karen graduated from Imperial College in mechanical engineering, and was awarded an MBA from London Business School, worked in industry and banking in the City of London, taught at Oxford’s European Business School ESCP - EAP (based in Paris, Oxford, Madrid & Berlin).
Dr. SIMON LITVIN
TRIZ Master, CEO & President of GEN TRIZ LLC
Dr. Litvin earned his M.S.C.E from State Marine University in St.Petersburg, Russia. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Russian Academy of Science, Institute of Science of Machine Problems in St.Petersburg, Russia.
He earned his TRIZ Master Diploma in 1998 from the International TRIZ Association, being nominated personally by TRIZ originator Mr. Genrich Altshuller.
Dr. Litvin is responsible for strategy, sales and quality of GEN TRIZ innovation services, for GEN TRIZ methodology further development, testing, and implementation. He is also the CEO of Algorithm, the Russian branch of GEN TRIZ, including GEN TRIZ verification facilities and Smart R&D Labs. He led numerous international consulting projects for Fortune 500 companies.
Dr. Litvin is a Vice President R&D of International TRIZ Association (MATRIZ) and Chairman of TRIZ Master Certification Council. He is also a member of Altshuller Institute for TRIZ Studies, USA and European TRIZ Association (ETRIA).
